Dayspring Christian Academy Opens For 2013-14 School Year

Smiling faces and bright eyes Wednesday morning greeted faculty, administration and staff members of Dayspring Christian Academy of Attleboro as the school hosted its first day of the 2013-14 academic year.

Smartly attired in school uniforms, students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 greeted classmates and immediately confronted new academic challenges with open minds as DCA commenced its 47th year of operation under ideal weather conditions. Administrator Frank Rydwansky reported no major problems or difficulties on the first day of school as students excitedly returned to classrooms following their annual summer break.

“It has been a very good day,” Rydwansky said. “Everyone is excited to be back and ready to start another year.”

DCA made several notable improvements during the summer months, Rydwansky said. The school installed new doors at its main entrance to enhance security; purchased and installed five Mimio Smart Boards and projectors in classrooms; and adopted new curriculum “that will provide educational and spiritual balance between critical thinking and rote learning from Kindergarten through Grade 8,” he said.

Rydwansky said DCA still has opening in some grades for the new school years. Additional information about the school is available by either calling 508-761-5552, or by accessing its Web site at www.dayspringag.org.
