Come Home for Christmas

St. John the Evangelist Parish in Attleboro is inviting Catholics who would like to return to the active practice of the faith to consider coming home for Christmas.  Those who have been away from the Church should know they have been missed.  St. John's is offering a special program on three Sunday evenings during Advent to welcome Catholics home.  Come rediscover the many ways Christ and his teachings can help guide you through the challenges of daily life.

Sesssion 1: December 1: Questions: Why do Catholics leave the Church? Why do they come back?

Hear from others who have left the Church and come back home. There will be time to ask confidential questions.  This session will be facilitated by lay leaders of the parish; our clergy will be joining us for following sessions.

Session 2: December 8: Answers: How can the Church help renew your faith?

Our parish priests will join us for this session to provide responses to confidentially posed questions, as well as to discuss the Church's mission in proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ.

Session 3: December 15: Life in the Sacraments

How can the sacraments enrich your life and help you cope with life's challenges? This week we will focus on the Sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation.  Learn how to prepare for Reconciliation.

All sessions are from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  Christmas is a wonderful time to give yourself the gift of God's grace and embrace the peace of Jesus Christ in your heart.  Let St. John's be the place that welcomes you Home for Christmas and gives you the gift of renewed faith.
