Apps To Get You Through That Frightful Night

Halloween is right around the corner, and it’s time to get ready to take your little ghosts and goblins trick-or-treating – and plan your own costume!

What should the kids wear? How can you keep track of their Halloween night travels? Need some pumpkin-decorating inspiration?

AT&T can help. Here are a few app suggestions for your smartphone to make the most of Halloween:

-       Take a picture of your child (or yourself!) using The Scary Camera and then add up to four special effects. You can also choose between 20 different scary frames, and you can even share your photos on Facebook or Twitter. The app is free and available for iPhone users. It requires iOS 5.0 or later.

-       Does your child keep asking how many more days until Halloween? The free Halloween Countdown app can help. The app counts down the days and features animated pumpkins and zombies. There’s Halloween music too. The app is available for iPhones with iOS 6.1 or later.

-       Check out Halloween Candy Free—an Android game with all the fun and without the calories. Your child won’t be on a sugar high after they play this free game app. The goal: Get as much “candy” as possible into your pumpkin within a certain period of time.

-       If you need Halloween costume ideas, download the freeHalloween Costumes app. The app is for iPhones with iOS 6 or later, and it has over 5,000 costume ideas for children. Bonus: There is a similar free app for adults. With that many suggestions, you will be all set for that office Halloween party.

-       When you go to carve your pumpkin, check out the 101 Pumpkin Carving Ideas app. It’s free, requires iOS 4.3 or later, and features high quality graphics.

-       Trick or treating in your neighborhood can be made easier by using the Trick or treating navigation app. Using GPS coordinates, you can bookmark your holiday stops. The app is $0.99 and available for iPhones with iOS 3.1 or later.

-       Another easy way to track your little ghouls: AT&T Family Map. Make sure your children are safe – and where they said they’d be – with this app. (Monthly fee.)

-       The Halloween Word Search Game is a free Android app complete with Halloween words, spooky animation and music and sound effects.

These apps will help you enjoy a spooktacular night. Happy hauntings!
