'A Christmas Carol' on Stage at Dayspring Christian Academy

Students in grades 3 through 8 at Dayspring Christian Academy will stage the school’s annual Christmas play Friday, Dec. 13, starting at 7 p.m. at the adjacent South Attleboro Assembly of God Church located on Route 1A in Attleboro.

According to faculty member Meegan Delvental (who is directing the production), students will stage the holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol,” based on the book written by Charles Dickens in 1843. The 90-minute production at DCA will feature a cast of 35 students performing the play in its traditional fashion replete with period costumes and numerous scenes and sets.

Heading the DCA cast will be Caleb Vargas (portraying Scrooge), Ava Gomes (Bob Cratchit), Garmodeh Willey (Jacob Marley), Christine Dapaah-Afriyee (Mrs. Cratchit), Caleb DeCastro (Tiny Tim) and Julianna Phillips, Gabrielle Granata and Joseph Charpentier as Christmas ghosts.
