Church Fairs Everywhere This Weekend

Christmas shopping with local handcrafted items, homemade cookies and jams, and lots of bargains in the Grandma and Grandpa Attics.

Nov. 4 & 5:  Fri. 12  -7pm & Sat. 9 - 3pm:   ANNUAL COUNTRY FAIR   Plainville United Methodist Church, 16 East Bacon St. Plainville.  Come enjoy our many shops as you meander through several rooms of our church.  There’s something for everyone!  From yard sale room to antiques & collectibles, hand-knits to jewelry, books, pickles, jams & jellies at the Country Store Table.  Speaking of food…Rest awhile with something to eat from the snack bar open during all fair hours with a Friday night special of Clam Cakes & Chowder.  Take home a pint of baked beans, some loaves of bread, cookies, brownies or other baked goods and don’t forget the pies.  They are wonderful and sell quickly, so come early to be sure to get yours.  Satisfy your sweet tooth with home made fudge or candies at the Candy Table.  Place your bids on the Silent Auction.  We’ll have lots of items or certificates from many local businesses.  Bids will be taken during fair hours on Friday and until 2:00 Saturday.  The highest bid on each item at that time will get a call to come claim their goods.  Come join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month - Oct. thru May for a delicious home made meal.  Included are main dish, coffee, cold drink and dessert.  Adults $9.00 Children $4.00

Nov. 4 & 5:  Fri. 5 - 8:30pm & Sat. 10 - 6pm:  CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE FAIR   

St. Theresa’s of South Attleboro, 18 Baltic St./ Corner of Rt. 1, South Attleboro. Try your luck at our Penny Social, “Not So Silent Auction”, raffles, which include: a Weekend Getaway, Baby Boutique, Liquor, Linen Chest, Cash Prize, Quilt, Money Tree, Meat, 50/50 Christmas Cash, Giant Theme Baskets, etc. Browse through the Used Books, Grandma’s Attic, Grandpa’s Tool Shed, Knit Goods, Christmas Décor, etc. We will have Santa Visits at the “North Pole”, the Village Duck Pond, Children’s Games, Christmas Chance and Instant Raffle and Wine Spin.  Don’t forget to visit the Village Bakery and dine in the Village Eatery on delicious meat pies, etc.

 Nov. 5:  Sat. 9 - 3pm:  VILLAGE GREEN FAIR - CHRISTMAS in ATTLEBOUROUGH FALLS

Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls.  Plants, books, videos & DVD’s, decorations, knick-knacks, Christmas Items, themed gift baskets, and jewelry.  Homemade Candy, Fudge, baked goods, jams, jellies and preserves. Handmade knit and crochet items, and crafts. Luncheon will be served.

 Nov. 5:  Sat. 9 - 2pm:   BIT ‘O SWEDEN FAIR   Evangelical Covenant Church, 841 North Main St. Attleboro. The Covenant Church has a Swedish Heritage which we celebrate at our Annual Fair.  Everyone is welcome – feel free to come and join us for Breakfast, Shopping, Treasure Hunting and Lunch! Breakfast: Swedish Pancakes with Sausage & Beverage 8:30am-10:30 am $5.00. Lunch: Smorgasbord Plate with Dessert & Beverage $7.00. Quiche or Meatball Sub with Soup or Salad and Dessert & Beverage $7.00 Bakery featuring Swedish Breads, Cakes, Pies, Cookies by the Pound, etc., Country Kitchen: Specialty foods, jams, dish towels, Swedish Imports, Knitted Items, Sewing Table, Holiday Crafts, Plants, Kids Area, Grandpa’s Attic – No Trash, but lots of Treasures!, Jewelry – some handmade, some new, some previously owned, Theme Gift Baskets, all price ranges, Books

 Nov. 5: Sat.  9 - 2pm:    FALL FAIR    First Congregational Church UCC (Oldtown), 675 Old Post Rd., North Attleboro.  Christmas corner, jewelry, baby items, kitchen aprons & linens, 300th celebration table, wooden & painted items, children’s room, Rada knives, Country Store, Elsie’s French Dressing, Breakfast & Lunch. 

Nov. 5 & 6:  Sat. 9 – 2pm & Sun. 11:30 - 3pm:  CHURCH MOUSE FAIR   The Original Congregational Church, 1 East St., Wrentham.  Attic treasures, Jewelry, Bake Sale, Crafts, Plant Sale, Book Sal, Silent Auction and many local vendors.  Dinner and Live Auction on Sunday - $10.00 Tickets.  Menu includes Chicken a la King in a patty shell, salad, rolls and butter, and dessert.
