The Rhythm Room is kicking off the holiday season with a “Pantry, Paws & Percussion” Holiday benefit on Saturday, December 15 at the First United Methodist Church in North Attleboro. There will be two performances; a matinee at 2 p.m. and an evening performance starting at 7 p.m.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit Lenore’s Pantry, a local food kitchen as well as the North Attleboro Animal Shelter; both non-profit organizations serving the greater North Attleboro community.  Donations of non-perishable food items for Lenore’s Pantry and donations to fill the Animal Shelter’s wish list are greatly appreciated and will be collected at the door at both performances.

“We’re looking forward to these special performances that will not only be fun family events, but will also benefit two local non-profit organizations who have played an important part in our community, especially in these tough economic times,” said Rick Morin, leader of the North Attleboro-based group. “Over the years, The Rhythm Room has received great support from this community and we look forward to giving back.”

The Rhythm Room has performed at venues up and down the East Coast including this year’s Topsfield Fair along with many theatre and corporate events.  Integrating world percussion, horns, drums, guitar, vocals, piano and keyboard, this 8-member ensemble provides a visually-stimulating experience for audiences of all ages.  The December 15^th performance will include the group’s original songs along with many holiday favorites.  Members of this world music ensemble also serve community schools throughout New England with an educational program, Rhythm Imaginarium, combining music, percussion and rhythm into a fun, interactive learning experience for kids of all ages.
