Mike Tyler, chair of the Attleboro School Committee, told Patch he anticipates a vote on the school district superintendent selection could be made tonight, but stressed he doesn't "have a crystal ball." A second public hearing will take place tonight on the proposal to build a mixed-use development, including 80 residential units and 6,615 square feet of retail, at the corner of Wall and South Main streets. This session will take place before the Zoning Board of Appeals at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. The first hearing took place March 4 before the Planning Board. Nobody spoke at the hearing who was not directly connected to the project. The project is proposed by a private developer on land currently owned by the Attleboro Redevelopment Authority.  2. 1. The National Weather Service says Attleboro residents should prepare to get wet. The good thing (or bad thing if you like rain) is that you will get through most of the day without the rain. 1. Kenneth Sheehan, one of two finalists for the school district's superintendent post, will be in Attleboro today to meet school, city and student leaders as well as tour campuses. 1. You can observe school committee meetings by attending them or watching on television, and now you have a third option—watching via the Internet. The school committee unanimously approved a request by DoubleACS Monday to allow live streaming and on-demand webcasting of meetings. DoubleACS was accepted into a YouTube program that allows unlimited webcasting, operations manager James Jones told the committee.
