Preschool started back up in Attleboro this week and at For Pete’s Sake in South Attleboro it didn’t go as planned thanks to Hurricane Irene. The yearly open house could not be held due to power outages causing parents and teachers to worry about how the children would react without a meet and greet. “We were forced to put a sign out saying due to Irene all paperwork would be done on the first day of school,“ said Director Maureen Gambardella. Foxborough Regional Charter School students start the school year Tuesday, but will end the school year in a slightly different place. All kids will move into the 27-classroom middle and high school addition in January, Executive Director Mark Logan says. The new classrooms will replace the K-12 school's 26 modular classrooms. The charter school has had modular classrooms since 2004, adding more since then. A new school year with new teachers, classmates, routines, responsibilities and expectations can be stressful.
