Attleboro company Sensata was recognized by the Boston Globe last month for its sales, profits, and shareholder returns during 2012. The Globe's 100 placed Sensata in the No. 7 slot this year. According to the most up-to-date information on the City of Attleboro's website, the average single-family homeowner paid $3,341 in property taxes last fiscal year. The data, compiled from Fiscal Year 2012, says the average single family property was worth $259,400. Attleboro's residential tax rate was $13.88. The total value of all single-family property was assessed at $2,433,954,700. For commcercial, industrial and personal property, the tax rate in FY2012 was $20.46. The total assessed value of residential properties in FY2012 was $3,245,043,883. For commercial property it was $362,915,025. The store should be open by the end of the year, according to reports.
If you've driven by the Bristol Place Shopping Center in South Attleboro lately, you've probably noticed construction at the former Shaw's location. A new Market Basket will take the place of Shaw's. According to the Valley Breeze, the store will likely be open "by the end of the year."
