Windy, Rainy Night Headed Our Way

The National Weather Service is predicting a 100 percent chance of rain for Seekonk tonight.

 

It won't be a quiet winter night in Seekonk. The National Weather Service out of Taunton is predicting a 100 percent chance of rain, and wind gusts up to 34 miles per hour, for our area tonight.

The NWS has also issued a gale warning for coastal communities, as strong and possibly damaging winds travel west between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 3 a.m. Wednesday. as officials predict that winds will be picking up significantly in the next few hours.

Rain should pass over Seekonk before 2 a.m. Expect patchy fog between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m. New rainfall amounts are predicted to be between three quarters and one inch possible. 

Wednesday should be dry and sunny, but the brisk winds will continue. The NWS is predicting gusts up to 36 miles per hour through Wednesday night.
