Teen Accused of School Shooting Threat Freed on Bail
The North Attleboro High School junior will return to court in February.
An Attleboro District Court judge on Thursday rejected a prosecutor's request to keep a teen accused of threatening to "shoot up the school" behind bars without bail. Patrick Skrabec, a 17-year-old junior at North Attleboro High School, was released on $10,000 bail.
Skrabec had been in custody without bail since last Friday when he was arrested after allegedly making the threat a few days earlier during his math class.
WPRI in Providence reported that during the dangerousness hearing Thursday, it was revealed Skrabec has no access to guns or other weapons and does not have a criminal record.
Skrabec has pleaded not guilty to making a threat causing the distruption of school. He must return to court in February.
