The high school was evacuated Wednesday morning after the threat was found. It was the second of two evacuations during the 9 a.m. hour. The first one happened after the fire alarm went off because of a mechanical failure, school principal Bill Runey told Attleboro Patch.
"A subsequent investigation by Detectives Todd Boldy and Alex Aponte along with School Resource Officer Robert Hale was conducted," Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillon wrote in a press release. "The investigation involved review of the school's surveillance video as well as interview(s) of witnesses."
He continued, "Based upon the investigation, a student whose name will be protected due to his age was identified as having written the threat. During an interview, the student acknowledged to detectives that he had written the threat. The student will be summoned to Attleboro Juvenile Court."
