Seekonk Student Joins Bailey Campaign
Seekonk's town coordinator for Jeff Bailey's state Senate campaign is a Seekonk High School senior.
David Orleck, a senior at Seekonk High School, has joined Republican Jeff Bailey's campaign for the state Senate seat of the Bristol and Norfolk District, which includes Attleboro and Seekonk.
Orleck will serve as the Seekonk town coordinator, Bailey's campaign announced in a press release issued Wednesday.
"I am proud to have David as a member of our campaign," Bailey said, according to the release. "David understands how important [it is] that we have new leadership at the [state Senate] determined to fight for the implementation of Secure Communities."
Bailey, a pastor at Attleboro's Grace Baptist Church for more than 20 years, has the ambitious goal of unseating Democrat James Timilty, who has been in the Senate since 2004. Bailey officially announced his bid for office last month at an event in Foxborough.
Oreck has lived in Seekonk for nearly his entire life, according to the release.
"In the fall, he plans to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst to study finance and economics," the release states. "As a freshman, he joined the Seekonk Republican Committee and became involved with local campaigns and initiatives. David is a 2012 All-State Band trumpet player, an amateur historian and his own private chef."

David has been a friend of mine for quite a few years now -- all throughout middle school and high school. Not only is he an honest and hard working student, he is a loyal friend. He will be the greatest addition to the Bailey Campaign, and will, without a doubt, be successful in all of his endeavors. I guarantee that not one other town coordinator will be able to hold a candle to the brilliant conservative that is David Orleck.

David Orleck is an up and coming leader in Seekonk...
Joining the Seekonk Republican Committee as a 14 year old showed to us that he has great ambitions in life and will succeed.
Very proud of this young man!

Wow, a young kid deciding to join a Republican campaign? From my understanding they have Mr. Orleck, from Seekonk, another kid in Norton, Horace Mello, and another young fellow in Medfield, Alden Daybre. Looks like some of our young people are making the right decisions on who to get behind. I applaud all these young kids in their determination to put this state back on track with Mr. Bailey's candidacy.

David Orleck is a fine young man who has chosen to support a candidate--Jeff Bailey--whose values, common sense, and respect for the liberties of the individual are exactly what Massachusetts needs now. David's actions demonstrate a maturity and big-picture understanding beyond his years and will help ensure a better State now and for years to come.

How refreshing to find such a young man already so dedicated to making his state a better place in which to live. Gives me hope for the future, and he's certainly backing the best candidate for common sense, fiscal accountability, and high integrity....Jeff Bailey! Welcome aboard!
