Seekonk Public Works Head's Contract Not on BOS Agenda
Board Chair Francis Cavaco says a selectman who will not be at the meeting on Wednesday had asked for the item to be removed.
A vote by the Seekonk Board of Selectmen on whether to begin contract negotiations with Public Works Superintendent Bob Lamoureux will not take place Wednesday as originally planned . Board Chair Francis Cavaco removed the item from the agenda prior to its publication Monday afternoon at the request of Selectman Bob McLintock, he told Seekonk Patch.
"Mr. McLintock will not be attending the meeting this week," said Cavaco on Monday. "He asked me today if I could put this on the agenda when we have a full board."
Lamoreux's contract expires at the end of June. He must be notified by the end of this month whether selectmen plan to renew it. The board has meetings scheduled for Dec. 12 and 19.
