ARA Board Meeting on Legal Battle
Take a look at what is happening today in Attleboro and Seekonk.
1. The Attleboro Redevelopment Authority board will meet at 3 p.m. in the library to discuss the agency's recent legal defeat and whether to appeal the decision. The meeting is open to the public, but the portion featuring the discussion everybody would want to see will take place behind closed doors in executive session, according to email to Attleboro Patch from Chair Judy Robbins.
The good news is if you want to share your opinion about the matter, you might get a chance (unlike at the City Council meeting earlier this week). Robbins wrote, "I'm not sure about a public comment period since this is a special meeting, but probably it will occur (as usual) before we go into executive session."
2. A residency hearing for School Committee member David Murphy will take place at Attleboro City Hall at 6 p.m. in the City Council chambers.
3. Seekonk Concerned Citizens will meet at Seekonk Public Library at 6 p.m.
4. Cranberry Coast Concerts will perform at Murray Unitarian Universalist Church in Attleboro at 7:30 p.m.
5. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, it should be cloudy early, then gradually becoming mostly sunny with a high near 88. The nighttime low is expected to be 67.
