Readers Choose Flowers by the Station

Mother's Day is fast approaching, and flowers are on lots of people's minds. And the best one to provide those flowers, according to voters in this week's Readers' Choice poll, is .

The Attleboro florist received the most votes in this week's poll question that asked readers about the best place to get flowers in Attleboro and Seekonk. Fifty percent of the voters picked Flowers by the Station. There was a tie for second place, with  and  each receiving 16 percent of the vote.

Attleboro-Seekonk Patch reader Diana April wrote that she was satisfied with her first visit to Flowers by the Station when she and a friend went there to buy flowers to brighten the day of the friend's grandmother, who was recovering from hip surgery.

"We felt as though we were treated as friends, and that every person who walked through that door was cared about and had probably been given the same reaction," April wrote. "I doubt I'll ever go elsewhere in the area!"

Opened 23 years ago and owned by Anne Hunt, Flowers by the Station is located below the train station at 73 Union Street (hence the name). The shop is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The phone number is 508-226-2971.
