UPDATE: Power Returns in Downtown Attleboro

A witness says a worker hit a wire near a construction site.

 

12 p.m. UPDATE Full power has been restored, according to National Grid.

Nearly 200 National Grid customers lost power this morning in downtown Attleboro. There has been no official word on what caused the outage, but a witness says a worker near the Intermodal Transportation Center project site struck a wire.

Some power could be restored as soon as 11:30 a.m., but full power is not expected to return until 1:15 p.m., according to National Grid's website.

Not this year, but still feeling the financial loss from last year.. found out about applying to FEMA too late . I am over 65yo and need to move now to more affordable housing due to the above loss from Irene! Only lost heat for 10ne week this year from Sandy. It's back now.
