8:30 p.m. Update: As of 8:30 p.m., National Grid is reporting 10 customers remain without power. Those customers are expected to get their power back by 11:45 p.m., according to the company.
7 p.m. Update: National Grid released a statement that power restoration is ongoing in Attleboro, and the final customers are expected to receive power by the end of Sunday.
"Wind-whipped snow and hurricane force wind gusts tore through the state beginning on Friday afternoon and continuing through Saturday afternoon," National Grid wrote. "National Grid's transmission system sustained significant damage, and there were more than 2,000 reports of wires down, mainly in the hardest hit communities. Impassable roads and blowing and drifting snow presented major challenges for crews trying to access and repair lines and equipment."
5 p.m. Update: The latest figure from National Grid shows 831 Attleboro customers are without power. The website states full restoration is expected by Sunday at 11:45 p.m.
If you or somebody you know is without power, the city-recommended first option is to go to a friend or family member's home. The next option is the emergency shelter at Attleboro High School. With the National Weather Service predicting a low of 9 degrees tonight, you do not want to be sleeping in a power-less home, no matter how many blankets you own.
2:40 p.m. Update: There are 1,708 customers without power, according to Nationa Grid. This is down from a high of 4,987 late Friday night. The website states full power will be restored by Sunday at 11:45 p.m.
12:15 p.m. Update: National Grid is reporting 3,650 customers are without power. The number appears to be going up and down. No estimated restoration time has been given. We will get more information to you soon.
6:40 a.m. Update: The number of customers without power is down to 3,861, according to National Grid. There is no estimated time for when power will be restored for everybody.

As the extreme snow and wind continue to pound Attleboro, many are left in the dark. As of 11:50 p.m., National Grid is reporting 4,897 customers have lost power. There is no estimated time for when the power will be restored.
Attleboro is not the only city suffering with power loss. Nearly 150,000 National Grid customers statewide have gone dark, including 4,360 in Seekonk, 3,727 in Rehoboth and 3,037 in Swansea.

For the first time since moving here I have power. This feels like maybe I've die and gone to heaven. I live on Hope Street can't really see it with the snow, but I'll open my home to women/ husband and behave children are welcome. Hope the power stays on and those without get it back today, just post if I can help.

North Main area: power flickered numerous times (clocks and microwave beeping) between 8-10pm. It was caused by thunder-snow because we saw flashes and the Weather Channel said there was thunder-snow in Conn. an hour before. Electricity stayed on....for a change.

I can add that the Main Post Office on Pleasant St As Of Sunday At Noon is BURIED in snow! Will take some Equiptment to move that. Just witnesed truck #17 DPW stuck pushing snow on Oakhill Ave by Rehobeth line,he was half across road his tires just spinning away him not going anywhere, he had no weight in body No Sand Etc for traction,just truck spinning away, hello DPW put sand in this truck before he tears clutch up,Jezzzzzzz

Oakhill Ave To Park St was just plowed by some Huge plow trucks with side wing plows also scraping it down real good then they had about 5 ten wheel trucks following the huge Walter Sno_Fighter wing plow that does not come cheap Im sure,but city can get federal monies back, need to clear up before rain & snow again possibly this week-UGH.

the roadway on my neighborhood still has 3 inches of snow on it. The guy who did it had a panel truck with a plow in it. He got stuck and did a mediocre job. No final pass was made by a bigger truck.

Sunday morning, no power, Pike Ave area. 36 degrees in the house and dropping. Usually being on the same grid as the hospital we get power pretty quick back. but come on.... a transformer station ? what's the issue here. 2 days without heat was manageable but 3+?????

unendurable!!!
Can't they offer you a heater like they have in buildings under contruction. At least to keep the pipes from freezing. It was in the low single numbers last night, enough to freeze pipes in heated homes!!
