A New Bedford man was arrested Monday afternoon at Town 'n Country Motel in Seekonk on suspicion of attempted murder and domestic assault with a dangerous weapon. The arrest of Rudolph Andrew Greene, 35, occurred after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 12:39 p.m.

"It is alleged that Mr. Greene caused physical harm to a 36-year-old woman," wrote Police Capt. Craig Mace in an email to Seekonk Patch. "She was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of injuries. He was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, under arrest, for injuries. Upon his discharge, he was transported to SPD for processing."

Greene is expected to be arraigned at Taunton District Court today.
