Lt. Gov. Tim Murray came to Seekonk Thursday to visit Historic Jacob Hill Inn, which is located at 120 Jacob St. and celebrating its 290th anniversary.

We are very proud of our accomplishments to promote tourism to Seekonk through preservation of an American Historic Landmark. We appreciate the support of our State Goverment.

Seekonk's government does not support any local business. From antiquated sign laws to the highest commercial property rate allowed.

The town's gotten used to losing businesses. 1828 Pawtucket village broke away and became Pawtucket, Massachusetts. 1862 after the US Supreme Court carved East Providence out of Seekonk, the town lost nearly all of its remaining businesses. If we don't encourage local businesses, then we'll be less disappointed if they fail or move elsewhere.
