Keeping Kids Busy Over February Break
Seekonk schools are closed for the week so here are some activities around town to keep them busy.
Seekonk schools have this week off, which means students are home for the week. There are a few activities around town to keep them busy and entertained until they return to school February 27.
Wednesday, the Seekonk Public Library is having a movie marathon from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The library will be showing various family movies though the day and will have popcorn, too. There is no registration required, so anyone can show up throughout the day.
Of course these programs are in addition to all the regular library services of books, music and movies available to take home and enjoy with your kids as they get ready to get back to school on Monday.
The library is open 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The Seekonk Dance Center at 3 Progress St. is offering a Dance and Acrobatic Camp this week for children ages 5 to 11, as well as a program for those over 11. The program costs $30 each day and runs from 9 a.m. until noon.
For more information email the studio at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact by phone at 508-974-5719.
For sports fans there will be pick-up soccer games at the Cole Street Fields near Martin Elementary School from 5:45-7 p.m. on Thursday. Ages 5 to adult are welcome and are advised to bring a water bottle and shin pads.
