Golf, Patch Run and Mom's Day Brunch

Happy Mothers Day! Here are some fun events that include glow golf, the Rhythm Room, dinner theatre, a strawberry run and brunch!

 
  1.   Smarts at the Mall
    Where/When: Emerald Square Mall, North Attleboro, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Why Go:   Enjoy a day highlighting the arts at the mall! The event will include raffle baskets, face painting, arts & crafts, a performance by the Rhythm Room www.rhythmroomlive.com from 1 to 2:30 p.m., the Brennan Middle School Chorus at 2:30 p.m., and a performance by Seth and Zakk from 5 to 7 p.m.
    Pricing:  Free! 
  2.  Healthy Kids Day and Strawberry Patch Run  
    Where/When: Balfour River Walk Park May 7, 8 a.m. (Strawberry Patch Run)  and 10 a.m. to noon (Healthy Kids Day).
    Why Go:   Bring the family to celebrate youth fitness and fun.  The Strawberry Patch Run for grades 1 to 8 begins at 8 a.m. on River Bank Road.  The step challenge awards will be presented to Attleboro 4th and 5th grade students.  The event will also include a D.J., tug of war, jump rope, hula hoop contests, relay races and more.  In case of rain the event will take place inside the Attleboro YMCA.
    Pricing:  Strawberry Patch Run $5 in advance or $10 day of the race. Healthy Kids Day is free!   
  3. Glow Golf 
    Where/When:  Emerald Square Mall, North Attleboro, Open Daily
    Why Go: Come check out the new glow-in-the-dark Mini Golf course located inside the Emerald Square Mall!  
    Pricing:  Children 4 and under and seniors $4, ages 5 to 12 $7 and adults $9  
  4. Mother's Day Brunch
    Where/When:  Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary, 1417 Park St., Attleboro, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
    Why Go:   Enjoy a morning hike with mom followed by a delicious brunch!
    Pricing:  Adult $10 member/$12 nonmember, Child $5. member/$6 nonmember, call (508) 223 3060 to register.
  5. Stone E. Lea Golf Course
    Where/When:  Stone E Lea Golf Course, 1411 County Street, Attleboro, open daily    
    Why Go: Enjoy a round of golf at a local family owned and operated public 18 hole golf course!  No tee times are required.  Food and beverages are available in the recently redecorated club house. 
    Pricing:  Weekdays 18 holes $26 or 9 holes $17, Weekends 18 holes $34 or 9 holes $21.  Senior special weekdays before 2, 18 holes $20 or 9 holes $14.
  6.  Over the River and through the Woods at ATC
    Where/When: 71 North Main St., Attleboro May 6 to May 21, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
    Why Go:  Come enjoy an evening or afternoon at the theatre!  This show is a funny and heartwarming story of a young man, Nick Cristano who decides to move to Seattle and has to deal with his two sets of over-bearing grandparents.  The show stars Kevin Fish, Steve Slate, LeeAnn Sims, Alex Aponte, Lydia Mattera, and Heather Buckley
    Pricing:  Show only Adult $15. Students and Seniors $13 or Dinner and Show $30.
