Get Out: Pro Wrestling, Nerf Wars and Wine Tasting

It's quitting time. Put the laptop away and enjoy the weekend.

From the rough and tumble to the refined and reserved, there is plenty to do this weekend in the Attleboro area. You can watch grown men beat themselves up at a professional wrestling match, or you can sip wine with the Lions.

  1. Where/When: Knight of Columbus, 304 Highland Ave., Attleboro; March 18, 7:47 p.m.
    Why Go: There will be a Bull Rope Match between "The Punisher" Don Vega and Cargill Vinton.

    Where/When: A
    merica's Best Defense, 51 Robinson Ave., Attleboro; Friday, March 18, from 6  to 9 p.m.
    Why Go: It's Parents Night Out. Parents drop off kids for pizza, drinks and dojo and then enjoy a night out. 
    Price: $30 w/ your own Nerf gun and pellets; $40 if Nerf gun and pellets are supplied.
  3. Where/When: Triboro Lions Club is hosting a wine tasting fundraiser at the Sweet Club House, 44 Peck St., Attleboro; Saturday, March 19, 8 to 10 p.m.
    Why Go:
    There will be appetizers, white and red wine and door prizes. 
    Price: $25
  4. Where/When: Rebeckha Whitefield Foundation Blue Pride Ball is the foundation's biggest fundraiser. It is being held at the Mansfield Holiday Inn on Saturday, March 19, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 
    Why Go:
    It's the foundation's biggest fundraiser of the year and includes dinner and entertainment by DJ and live band, raffles and silent auction.
    Price:
    $40
  5. Where/When: The Emerald Square Mall will host its Sunburst Future Star Preliminary; Friday, March 18, 5 p.m. (registration), 6:15 p.m. (talent show).
    Why Go:
    There will be a chance for ages 27 and under to strut their stuff.
    Price: $40 entry fee.
