If you haven't heard, there's an election today.

Attleboro and Seekonk voters are headed to the polls to determine, among other items, who will serve the next term as their representatives in the state House and Senate.

State Senator for Bristol and Norfolk District (Seekonk and Attleboro Wards 3B, 4, 5 and 6)

Sen. James Timilty faces challenger Jeff Bailey

• The candidates argued about policies on small businesses.

State Representative for 2nd Bristol District (All of Attleboro except Ward 3B

Republican incumbent George Ross faces Democratic challenger Paul Heroux

• The two debated late last month in Attleboro.

• Before the two debated, they debated whether to debate.
• During the debate, Ross allegedly flipped off the audience. Ross said he didn't do it.
• Heroux had his issues too. Records show he has not voted too often and he told The Sun Chronicle he briefly served in the Navy, but left before completing basic training. 
• When the spokesman for the state GOP party laughed at Heroux's voting record, the candidate said, "I'm a regular voter, but not a perfect voter." 
• Heroux said he would donate his travel stipend to residents. Doing his best McKayla Maroney impression, Ross was not impressed.

State Representative for 4th Bristol District (Seekonk)

Republican incumbent Steven Howitt faces Democratic challenger A. Keith Carreiro.

• The candidates debated in Norton.
• Before they debated, they debated whether to debate.
• Carreiro's answers to a newspaper questionnaire were scrutinized because they appeared elsewhere and attributed to others.
