Down to The Wire

It’s Week 9 of the “You Choose To Lose” Weight Loss Challenge, and with a combined team weight loss of 462.2 lbs, Seekonk’s Team Camo Holds onto first place.

Only one week left for the participants in the Weight Loss Challenge, and according to Andy Calise, Seekonk’s Head Trainer, “Sometimes you get towards the end of a program and slack off or give up out of exhaustion but that’s not the case with Team Camo. Week Nine for my team has been the most successful and impressive week yet.” Andy went on to say “The end of this 10-week Challenge is bittersweet because it’s been a really great experience and I know that each team member is moving on towards making a healthier life but it’s sad to see the Challenge end.”

Support within a 15-minute time period

Andy shared some of this week’s team e-mails with me and it’s clear that nothing brings home how strong they are as a team than the way they interact with each other. I couldn’t write or convey the excitement or support any better than what they’ve written so I’m sharing their words verbatim with you. Please note, names, locations and other personal information have been removed to respect each participant’s privacy.

Hi Team, Great Job this week-only a few days left, this has been such a strong team I hope everyone keeps it up!! This can be a lifestyle change if you make it, you all have gone so far don't let the pounds creep back on when the challenge is finished.  I was down 3.8 this week. Just shows how important it is to keep the diet tight even when you can't get to the gym.“

I want to thank everyone for really picking the slack up for me while I just went through a tough stretch of biz travel…I just got home. I am beat. Was happy that l finished down the last few weeks, but more than anything else, I was proud to see the numbers that the rest of you have been pulling down in my absence. I knew the end of this challenge would be tough because of work obligations. But, I like my job and this is the life I chose and if I want to continue doing this then I have to continue to take care of myself. Seeing how hard all of you worked was just amazing. Now let’s finish with a flurry. Thanks again.”

Great Job everyone!  Down 6 lbs.  Go Camo!!!!!!!”

Fantastic job everyone!  I am down 2.0. Go Camo! We've got this!”

Looking good team.  I am down 3.4.  I better be seeing all of you usuals at spin this week!  Can't wait to hear how the rest of you did.”

Everyone is doing absolutely amazing this week, great job!”

Great Job guys!!!  I'm down 1 lb.  I think my body has just had enough.  6 more days!!  We can do it!!!”
