Council Votes for Outdoor Downtown Dining
Sangria's and Scorpio's will serve customers in front of their restaurants.
The City Council on Thursday voted 9-0 (Mark Cooper and Shannon Heagney were absent) to support permit requests by downtown Attleboro restaurants Sangria's and Scorpio's for outdoor dining.
Several councilors spoke enthusiastically about the concept, with Jay DiLisio saying it shows that Attleboro is interested in bringing businesses to the city's downtown.
The Scorpio's permit will allow for alcohol service. Sangria's had not requested permission for alcohol service.
The permits were required because the tables will be set up on the sidewalk, which is city property.
Attleboro Patch will have more information on this story soon.

I'm trying to think of anything that will taste better than a Scorpios pizza outside tables and other than their Fettuccine alla Bolognese...I'm coming up empty. So excited for this!
