Congressman-Elect Joe Kennedy III Weds in California

He marries his Harvard Law School classmate Lauren Birchfield.

One month after he clinched the 4th Congressional District seat, Joe Kennedy III celebrated another important milestone on Saturday—his wedding.

Kennedy, 32, wed fellow Harvard Law School classmate Lauren Anne Birchfield at the Community Church in Corona del Mar, Calif., My Fox Boston reported.

The ceremony was officiated by Birchfield's father, the Rev. Jim Birchfield.

Kennedy, a Democrat, defeated Republican Sean Bielat last month for the seat representing the 4th District, which includes Attleboro and Seekonk. This is the second wedding this year for the district. Rep. Barney Frank, who did not seek re-election, married longtime partner Jim Ready in July at a ceremony in Newton

lol. She'll probably the first of his three wives by then. The Kennedys are known to be tough on their women.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them many years of happiness and fulfillment.
As for the nasties here, are you so cynical and negative that you can't wish a young man well? Suspend it for a few hours will you? and act like a decent human being.

"BEST WISHES" Mr. Kennedy! ~ It's unfortuanate there's so much loathing for this young man especially during this Christmas season. I'll light a candle at Lasalette Shrine for all the Haters out there.

I don't know why anyone would dislike Joe Kennedy. I guess there are still a few stray Republicans in New England and they should try to show some class. Being rude and out of touch is why the GOP is so unpopular these days. Joe Kennedy has the youth vote behind him so all you haters had better get over it, he is here to stay for as long as he wants. Don't bet against Joe & Lauren in the White House.

I don't know of anyone who hates Joe Kennedy III. What's to hate, we hardly know him. I wish him well and hope he does a good job for Massachusetts.

One reminder to those who are out of touch, Massachusetts is a very little state in the very big United States of America.

I guess its just the family reputation he'll need to work through at least for me. The apple dosn't fall far from the tree. If he's different, It'll be a nice suprise. I just wish he'd stay in California. That's not being hateful.

WHY should Mr. Kennedy be critized because of his last name & your perceived "family reputation"? Talk about PREJUDICE!

He’s in office because his name is “Kennedy”, as long as he’s not a murderer, rapist, thief, wife beater, or drives around high as a kite then I’m good and, he’ll already be above expectations! Lots of Kennedy’s may already be in office. With all those baby mama’s who knows. I know of no accomplishments except he went to Harvard whew, must have sweated that acceptance. Got a Gvm’t job for the Attorney General for 2 years, again, the interview process must have been grueling , and was in the Peace Corps. asking for no special treatment. Why he would need any… anyway, with our current standards for President there is no doubt he will be President very soon. I hope I’m wrong. We’ll see.

AMY ~ Your sarcastic comments sound "HATEFUL" to me. ~ You say, "I KNOW OF NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS" (by Kennedy) ~ What's wrong with that? Look who's in the White House Now! ~ B.T.W. I voted for BIELAT.

@Daniel Devine. Am I missing something? What are his accomplishments? Please enlighten me if you know of any. I'm just stating facts on the Kennedy men's history. There's lots if you require more details. Would he have been elected if he had a different last name? I hope he has the same ideals as JFK. Strong defense, cut taxes and "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country". I really hope he does well for all the people in this district. I don't know enough about him to even dislike him and I don't hate anyone.
