At a little after 10 a.m., Republican U.S. hopeful Sean Bielat, along with his wife Hope and two young children, stopped at the Freedman-Kennedy School in Norfolk to cast their ballots for the general election. Sean Bielat faces Democrat Joe Kennedy III in the contest to represent the 4th Congressional District, which includes Attleboro and Seekonk.

The GOP candidate will be on the road all day today with stops in various Massachusetts communities (he was in Attleboro this morning) planned before ending the day at the campaign's party in Needham.

Bielat said he was happy to see lots of people out voting.

"I'm really glad to see the high turnout," he said. "I like to see people participating in the process and it's an exciting day. Regardless of outcome, it's an exciting day because it gives people the chance to have their voice, and hopefully whoever gets into office, they'll be looking out for our best interest and do a good job."

Bielat said he didn't have any nerves going into today and was satisfied with his campaign.

"I feel like we've done what we needed to do and what we could do and now it's just in the hands of the voters," Bielat said. "I just hope everybody goes into the voting booth, understands who the candidates are, what we stand for, and makes an informed decision. As long as that happens, I feel good about everything."
