The city was left in ruins after Balfour, Swank and Texas Instruments pulled out. The police log reads almost the same every week. Most arrests stem from traffic violations and petty theft, once a month throw in a drug bust. With new restaurants opening up downtown, the city is looking better!

"The city was left in ruins after Balfour, Swank and Texas Instruments pulled out."
Excellent example of outsourcing. Balfour and TI regrouped in Texas probably because the state is a friendlier place to do business... think Republican ... think 6.8% unemployment rate.
Swank's, I think, is a post office box address although I think Berkshire Hathaway just purchased it and might bring jobs back to Attleboro.
Whenever prosperity leaves an area, crime slips in to fill the void.
