Candidates for Attleboro City Council stood in the rain outside of La Salette Shrine, the Ward 5 polling place, greeting voters during the Ward City Council Preliminary Election Tuesday afternoon.
Former City Councilor Jerry Chase had already voted, but current City Councilor Duff White and newcomer Jeremy Denlea.
Incumbent Duff White, who announced Monday to to enter his name in the race as a write-in, was disappointed with the low turnout as of noon, but hoped the 3,549 registered voters in Ward 5 would exercise their right to vote.
