Opening Weekend at Seekonk Speedway

Take a look at what’s going on today and this weekend.

 

1. The 67th season at Seekonk Speedway will begin Sunday, with races starting at 2 p.m. Additional festivities are scheduled for Saturday. Go here for more information.

2. Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary of Attleboro will host the Birds and All That Jazz fundraiser tonight at 7 p.m.

3. The Good News Bible Chapel in Attleboro will host a pancake breakfast on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. to raise money for Attleboro Boy Scout Troop 15.

4. Seekonk Public Library will host a Cinco De Mayo celebration on Saturday at 10 a.m.

5. Showers are likely and thunderstorms possible before 10 a.m., according the National Weather Service. Further rain is also possible for the remainder of the day. Patchy fog, cloudy skies and a high of 60 are also expected. At night, there is a 50 percent chance of rain. The expected low is 51.

More rain is possible on Saturday. It is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 65. At night, it should be mostly cloudy with a low near 46. Sunny skies and a high near 66 are predicted for Sunday. At night, it is expected to be clear with a low near 42.
