1. New York vs. Boston is the ultimate battle. And the test tonight is who has the better beer, with the contenders being Sam Adams and Brooklyn Brewery. Scorpio's  in Attleboro will host a beer tasting beginning at 7 p.m. Prizes and giveaways will also be included.

2. The Attleboro Chess Club will meet at Attleboro Public Library at 6 p.m.

3. The Seekonk Public Library at 6 p.m. will host the screening of a certain popular movie. The library can't mention the title due to licensing issues. Hint: Think bows and arrows.  

4. Time is running out to submit your questions for the candidates in the special Seekonk Board of Selectmen election. Send them to jonathan.friedman@patch.com  and they can be included in a questionnaire.

5. Expect sunny skies with a high near 86 and a wind that could reach 13 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The nighttime forecast calls for mostly clear skies and a low near 58.
