Seekonk police on Monday released the photo of a man they said robbed Citizens Bank Friday morning. The bank is located in Stop & Shop at 125 Highland Ave. in Seekonk. The unidentified man is also a suspect in a robbery reported later that day in Somerset.

Police described the suspect as being a white male in his 30s or 40s, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a thin build and light beard.

"He was wearing a camouflage long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, thick-rimmed eye glasses and a Virginia Tech 'Hokies' baseball cap along with a brown wig," a press release from the police states.

The release continues regarding the robbery that was reported at 11:22 a.m.:

The suspect utilized a note to communicate a robbery was in progress. A weapon was not shown but was threatened. After acquiring cash, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen running eastbound on Highland Avenue.

Later in the day, a similarly-described man robbed a bank in Somerset, MA. It is believed that the suspect is responsible for both robberies.
