Attleboro Soldier in Need of Kidney Has Found a Donor
John Jennings has found his life-saving match.
After months of searching, Massachusetts National Guard Veteran of 20 years, SFC John Jennings has found a donor to provide him with a life saving kidney.
SFC John Jennings was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) several years ago and was undergoing dialysis several times a week as he waited for a potential donor. Now, his waiting is over.
"I am officially locked in for surgery on the 7th," Jennings said on his Facebook page. I look forward to meeting my donor/ hero."
"Everyone asks if I am nervous," he added. "I think it's hard to be nervous when you know the end of being tired of being tired (meant to say it twice) is so close. That being able to keep up with my wife and kids is so close. I think these realizations keep me from being nervous, but we will see how I feel on the 7th."
We wish Jennings and his family good luck.

In the middle of a hate-filled politican season, its seems easy to forget what is important. This story is important - way more so than all the "stuff' that has been going on in Attleboro, lately. This is a story about a man that was willing to risk his life for all of us and the goodness of another person to donnate a kidney to save somebody's life. This is a true reminder of what is really important.
Best wishes to this family and thank you for your service.
