Attleboro Mayor Dumas Issues Emergency Center Statement
Attleboro mayor Kevin Dumas says an emergency shelter has been established at Attleboro High School.
Attleboro Mayor Kevin J. Dumas issued the following message Saturday morning:
Per Governor Patrick, there shall be no motoring on any public roadway until further notice. All City residents should stay home and off the streets until further notice unless they have an extreme emergency. Public shelters should be a shelter of last resort.
All public and private resources are deployed and have been since the inception of Winter Storm Nemo.
There are approximately 3,800 customers without power at this time. Please make sure that you have reported your power outage to National Grid at 1-800-323-3223.
The City will have a designated Emergency Shelter at Attleboro High today, Feb. 11 a.m. If you must evacute, the best choice is to seek shelter with family or friends. If you have questions regarding the Emergency Shelter, contact the Emergency Operation Center at 508-223-2275.
