State police say John Sousa suffered "serious injuries" on Route 16.

An Attleboro man was taken to the hospital in Rochester, N.H. after he suffered "serious injuries" in a Sunday afternoon crash on Route 16, New Hampshire State Police reported. John Sousa, 65, was driving northbound on the highway in a Ford F-150 that crashed into a southbound Toyota 4 Runner, according to the state police's press release. Police responded to the crash at 3:40 p.m.

The release states:

As the Ford F-150 proceeded northbound it lost control and crossed left of center lane colliding with the Toyota 4 Runner. The crash caused that section of the roadway to be closed just over an hour while other traffic was diverted. Both operators sustained serious injuries and were taken to Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH to be treated.

The driver of the Toyota 4 Runner was 28-year-old Bradford Hammond. The press release does not state where he lives.
