Kevin Deschenes, longtime head coach of the Attleboro High School football team, resigned Thursday morning. School principal Bill Runey confirmed that Athletic Director Mark Houle accepted Deschenes' resignation and the coach told the news to the players.
"The AHS football program has benefited from coach Deschenes' passion, loyalty and integrity for many years," wrote Runey in an email to Attleboro Patch about the man who coached the team for 12 seasons. "He has left an indelible mark on our program. The Blue Pride Community is grateful for his service. As we partner with the city of Attleboro on the stadium renovation at Tozier Cassidy Field, we are excited about the next chapter of Blue Bombardier Football."

Thanks Kevin for the hard work, long hours, sweat, and dedication you have given to the kids and Attleboro football program. You were much more than a coach to these kids. Thank you again for being such a great role model. We are all truly grateful for having you as a member of our community.
