Alleged Thieves Could Have Used Getaway Car
Two Providence residents are accused of attempting to steal an iPhone from Best Buy in Seekonk.
Providence residents Vanessa Lopes Silva, 24, and Dujuan Adrian Harris, 32, were arrested outside Best Buy (41 Commerce Way) in Seekonk early Monday afternoon on suspicion of stealing an iPhone.
The Seekonk Police Department, according to the log, received a report shortly before 12:30 p.m. stating, "white male wearing a long black leather jacket with female, iPhone taken, parties left store walking, no vehicle."
Having a getaway car may have been useful for the alleged thieves because they were arrested almost immediately. Their arrest was on suspicion of larceny over $250.

If a person is from Seekonk, how can they be arrested for vagrancy in Seekonk? How about give a girl a break? How can people occupy a park and not get arrested but a girl hanging around a gas station has to be? No other way around this SPD?
