A New Eatery Slated to Open in Downtown Attleboro

Building permits were pulled for new Attleboro restaurant.

The empty space next door to Scorpio's Italian Eatery & Pizzeria in downtown Attleboro will be occupied by Sangrias, a new tapas restaurant.

John Laquale of Cobalt Construction recently applied for and was granted a building permit for Sangrias, a restaurant slated to open at 59 Park St.

Cobalt Construction, based in Warwick, RI, is also the contractor hired to complete the work at Scorpio's Italian Eatery & Pizzeria. They're also in negotiations with The Caribbean Kitchen's owner Lisa Palmer to do complete the work at 15 Park St.

Attleboro Building Superintendent Doug Semple said Laquale received approval for the Sangrias location on Sept. 28 and The Caribbean Kitchen on July 1. Calls and emails to Laquale went unanswered.

It is great to see another business will be opening in downtown Attleboro! If elected to City Council, I will encourage downtown revitalization efforts that will protect property values and increase the community's options for goods and services. A vibrant downtown is a symbol of community pride and history while enhancing the quality of life within the city as a whole.

Ooh, this sounds great! And it makes the 3/50 project so much easier when there are more businesses to frequent.
