Letter: Thank You, Ward 5
Attleboro resident Jeremy Denlea will be Ward 5 City Councilor beginning in January.
To The Editor:
I would like to thank all of Ward 5 for the confidence that you have placed in me.
I am honored to have been embraced by the Ward 5 community as a whole. Rich, poor; Caucasian, African-American, Latino, Asian; young and old. The entire community came out to support me. Thank you for electing me your next Ward 5 City Councilor.
I am grateful to all of Ward 5. I appreciate the trust you have put in me and I will do my best to make you proud.

Duff White stormed out of City Council meetings, quit half way through his term citing his lack of accomplishment and continually insulted the people of Ward 5. He was a bad man who was bad for Ward 5 and bad for the city.
Congratulations Jeremy! Remember to always respect the people who elected you. Your predecessor thought it was best to trivialize them. Change happens. Embrace change!

I knew that Sarah, along with other TEMPERAMENTAL performances ( ADAM must have missed ) on his short-lived career as an Attleboro City Councilor. Looks like he and Cheri will have to pay for their health and retirement benefits come January.

Think what you will of Duff as a councilor, but to call him or any of our elected local leaders "a bad man" is way beyond politics. Duff is a good person who's heart was in the right place through his entire term. Disagree with his politics or policies -- sure. Fair game. But can we please not go to this next personal level so quickly and easily? It's not fair or accurate with Duff. And I'm sure it wouldn;t be with so many of our other elected officials. Thanks to all of those who give so much of their time to get involved and who give their best efforts. Thankless job.

It is very, very important to Jeremy that we all focus on the future of Attleboro rather than the past. It was my pleasure to work on his campaign and meet so many wonderful people from all walks of life. Let's stay positive and do the right thing for Jeremy and the people of Attleboro. Thank you all.
