1 Injured in Seekonk School Bus Crash

The bus contained 43 students headed to Hurley Middle School.

A Swansea woman was transported to the hospital Wednesday morning after her Honda Accord was rear-ended by a school bus headed to in Seekonk, according to the .

The crash occurred near the shortly after 8 a.m. Forty-three students were aboard the bus. 

"The students and the bus driver were checked on scene by emergency medical services personnel," a Seekonk police press release states. "No students were transported to a hospital by EMS services. The students were transported to their destination ... where their parents were notified of the crash."

The crash caused "significant damage to the rear of the Honda." The name of the Swansea woman was not released. The nature and extent of her injuries are unknown.

This was the second crash of a Seekonk school bus this month. A bus headed to  crashed into another vehicle May 16. Three students aboard that bus went to the hospital with minor injuries.
