St. John's Parish To Present Catholicism Series
St. John the Evangelist Parish will present four segments of the acclaimed "Catholicism" video series as part of its Lenten programming this year. The videos, followed by a brief period of reflection and discussion, will be shown on Wednesdays February 29, March 7, March 21 and March 28 at the St. John's Hospitality Center, behind the church off Peck Street in Attleboro. The program will be presented twice on each date, first at 10am and again at 7pm. All are welcome.
"Catholicism" is created and hosted by Father Robert Barron of Chicago and produced by Mike Leonard, a long-time correspondent and videographer for NBC's Today show. The series journeys across the world to see how the Catholic Church's influence on humanity has affected global culture. It features the art, architecture, literature and music of the Catholic tradition to illuminate what Catholics believe and why.
The videos being featured are The Mystery of God (February 29), The Revelation of God Become Man (March 7), The Teachings of Jesus (March 21) and The Church (March 28).
