Reduce Library Fines With Food Donations

  • April 9, 2012

The following announcement is from Maria Holme of the Seekonk Public Library:

In honor of National Library Week, the Seekonk Public Library is running a "Food For Fines" program through Saturday.

Non-perishable food items are being accepted as payment for overdue fines. Library fines will be reduced $1 for each acceptable food item donated. This program does not apply to lost materials or to accounts that have been sent to collections.

All donations will benefit Doorways Food Pantry in Seekonk.

Additional non-perishable food donations are gladly accepted even if you don't have fines.
