"Half an Hour a Day Across Massachusetts" Book Signing & Breakfast with Author John Galluzzo

ATTLEBORO, MA - John Galluzzo, author of more than 30 books on local history throughout the South Shore area, and Director of Education & Camping for the South Shore Natural Science Center, will speak on his recent book, "Half an Hour a Day Across Massachusetts: Finding Nature in Every Town in the Commonwealth" on Saturday, January 19, at 10:00am at Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary (1417 Park Street).  Adults $8.00 Members/ $10.00 Non Members

*Special pricing: $23.00M/$30.00 nonmembers for program, breakfast & book

Prior to his appointment to South Shore Natural Science Center, John spent more than 8 years as Adult Education Coordinator & Citizen Science Coordinator for Mass Audubon’s South Shore Sanctuaries.  During his time with Mass Audubon he established a popular adult program catalog of natural history programs that combined his love of cultural history with his ever-growing knowledge of birds, mushrooms, plants, and almost anything else that grabbed his curiosity. He also managed the citizen science projects and volunteers, including breeding bird counts, monitoring osprey nests, and salamanders.

Following the talk participants will have the opportunity to chat with John about his experiences while enjoying a light breakfast and coffee.  Last year, John proved that a nature walk is never out of reach for any state citizen by taking a half-hour walk in each of the 351 towns in the Commonwealth, focusing on wildlife sanctuaries, state parks and other open areas - including cemeteries.
