Students in kindergarten through twelfth grade at Grace Baptist Christian Academy in Attleboro celebrated the spirit of Christmas through song and speech last Thursday during the school's second and final Christmas Dinner-Theater program of the year.

In front of a capacity crowd in the school's small auditorium/chapel, GBCA students sang holiday songs and carols and presented their interpretation of the true meaning of Christmas in dramatic fashion. Attired in red school sweaters, formal gowns and tuxedos, students performed a play called The Mystery of the Manger—It's the Gospel Truth, interspersed with musical selections exhibiting their creative abilities.

Prior to the formal program, spectators in attendance feasted on a full-course turkey dinner, complete with fixings, bread, beverages and desserts prepared by the parents of GBCA students along with staff members.

Prior to the play, GBCA high school students performed a song called "Our God is With Us," and junior high school students produced "Welcome Jesus, Our Redeemer," both using sign language under the direction of faculty member Donna Emerson.

The cast of the play included Jamie Emerson, Gabriel Hazeldine, Brad McGee, Danielle Mongeau, Darlene Murray, Chelsea Oliveira, Hunter Pare, Elizabeth Peterson, Abigail Silva, Aidan Stevens and Amber Tyrol. Faculty member Toni Watson directed the production.

Solo musical performers were Sarah Hunter, Elizabeth Peterson, Ariana Pare and Grace Gibson. Readers included Hannah Palmore, Jeremiah Oliveira, Sydney Lamarre, Luke Vincent and Rachel Jones.

Musical performances were delivered by the school's kindergarten choir, grade one-grade two choir, grades three through six Choir, junior high school choir and high school choir.
