Feehan Theater Company Presents "Lost in Yonkers"

Bishop Feehan High School Presents “Lost in Yonkers”

Bishop  Feehan High School Theater Company will presents its fall production “Lost in Yonkers”, by America’s great comic playwright Neil Simon.  The story takes place in 1942 in New York. Bella, is 35 years old, mentally challenged and living at home with her stone-hearted mother. As the play opens her brother Eddie drops off his two sons on the old lady’s doorstep. He is financially strapped and taking the road as a salesman. The boys are left to contend with their grandma, with Bella and her secret romance, and with Louie, her brother, a small time gangster in a strange new world called Yonkers. “I chose this play because it represents how important it is for a family to look out for each other and provide unconditional love and support for each other during the most difficult of times,” said theater director Alden Harrison. “Also I wanted to push the potential of the students’ talents and have them really take the time to memorize and understand the vast amount of lines each student has so they can more fully understand and act their character in a way they never have before.”
