Commended Students Announced in 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program
Bishop Feehan High School principal George Milot recently announced that 13 seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The students are Emily Stewart (Attleboro), Jessen Foster (Attleboro), Christos Anastos (Mansfield), Kendyl Barron (Franklin), Lindsey Chou (Franklin), Eileen Corkery (Walpole), Steven Denison (Franklin), Bryan Dextradeur (Franklin), Henry Dodge (Rumford), hristopher Hughes (Lakeville), Nicholas Romero (Mansfield), Lauren Sachs (Walpole) and Elizabeth Seiber (North Attleboro).
A Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, was presented by the principal to these talented seniors.
"Recognizing academically talented students play a fundamental role in the advancement of educational excellence within our nation," commented an NMSC spokesperson. "The young people recognized as Commended Students represent some of the best and brightest minds in the country as demonstrated by their outstanding performance in our highly competitive program. We sincerely hope this recognition will provide them with additional educational outlets and motivate them their pursuit of academic achievement."
