Bishop Feehan Wins Broadcast Equipment Grant
Bishop Feehan High School has a new communications studio as a result of a grant awarded to Feehan by Comcast last year. Students will have the opportunity to learn the technical operations of a studio as well as program planning and design.
Initial planning started this past summer for the first phase of producing a news show. This will be a collaborative effort by the student group called Feehan TV: First Crew under the direction of Feehan's technology integration coordinator Sue Kiley and the school's newspaper.
Future phases of the communication studio may include flipped classroom videos, integrated uses for lessons and eventually live broadcasting to classrooms.
